New Archer Client Offering
Audit Shield Protection
Some of our clients earlier this month may have received communication from us in relation to the introduction of Audit Shield for Archer clients.
This offering has been introduced in response to:
- increased ATO review and audit activity (noting the additional scrutiny announced in the Federal Budget)
- rising requests from clients for protection and support
- growing regulatory scrutiny across payroll, GST, superannuation and income tax
Audit activity can occur even where clients have acted appropriately and complied with obligations. The cost of professional fees responding to reviews, audits or information requests can still be significant.
Audit Shield is designed to help cover the professional costs associated with responding to eligible audit, review, investigation or verification activity from:
- the Australian Taxation Office
- RevenueSA
- other regulatory agencies
We encourage clients to review the information circulated last week and speak with us if you would like to discuss whether the cover is appropriate for your circumstances.
Tax Pay – Manage ATO Obligations More Effectively
We are also pleased to introduce Tax Pay as an additional client offering.
Tax Pay is designed to help businesses and individuals better manage ATO liabilities by allowing eligible tax obligations to be funded over time through a commercial finance arrangement.
Importantly:
- this can assist with cashflow management; and
- interest incurred may be tax deductible depending on your circumstances (ATO General Interest Charge became non-deductible from 1 July 2025)
Tax Pay may be appropriate for:
- BAS liabilities
- income tax debts
- payment plans
- seasonal cashflow pressures
- unexpected tax obligations
As the ATO continues to tighten debt recovery activity and apply higher interest charges, proactive management of tax debts is increasingly important.Tax Pay offers a competitive interest rate and simple low documentation process as requires business trading with a good payment history. Archer are happy to assist you to look at other options should you require this and you don’t meet the Taxpay requirements.
